Zimbabwe Women Global Forum 1st Annual Conference in London,  UK  confirmed 
Whither to Zimbabwean women in Diaspora post Mugabe era?

Zimbabwe Women Global Forum unites all women from Zimbabwe in the diaspora for progress, unity, leadership, empowerment and development. We are united by our skills, experiences, knowledge, resilience and hard work. We are passionate about Zimbabwe, our home country and our contributions are not remittances only but skills and knowledge we acquired whilst abroad are shared for the betterment of our country.


We work to support the government, the most vulnerable and those with potential for growth and development. We are the voice at all international platforms and we keep check on status of Zimbabwean women in the country and abroad.

Our seven thematic areas are as follows and we meet every year to assess what is working, what is not working and how we can help to make things work

1. Health

2. Education

3. Governance, Peace, Reconciliation, Justice and Politics

4. Climate change, Agriculture,  Investment and Economic Development

5.Women, Science and Technology  

6. Who is who in the diaspora-extensive data base of women leaders from Zimbabwe

We hope to achieve the following

1. Register Zimbabwe Women in the diaspora as members and on the expert data base so that gvt can utilise some of their skills for development of Zimbabwe.

2. Select Interim Committee to lead  the forum and strengthen the organisation.Committee to be guided by constitution to be unveiled on 24 January 2018. 

3. Identify 7 thematic areas of focus. So far 5 women have been identified to present position papers on issues like health,education, investment etc. Presenters to research on their allocated themes and share what is working, what is not working and what we can do to make things work. Each paper to be published on our blog. A position paper to be agreed at conference.

4. Strengthen role of Zimbabwean women in global advocacy and ensure we unite with other women's organisations.

The conference takes place on 26 January 2018 at Church of Scientology church.

Zimbabwe Women Global Forum thanks Dr Brighton Chireka for a solidarity message below he sent to us. As women from Zimbabwe we applaud his passion and commitment to work to improve health systems in Zimbabwe. Our forum has a working group on Health and mental health and we will be attending all meetings and events organised by Dr Chireka.
